Chili

We already used to make this recipe anyway but we ate it with noodles, sour cream, cheese, and crackers.  I will miss the yummy crackers but this recipe is seriously outstanding.  I grew up hating Chili until Adam's Aunt made us this.  We have tweaked the recipe over the years but essentially this recipe is A.MAZ.ING.

1 onion chopped
1.5-2lbs ground beef
1-2 ribeyes or filets cut in cubes
1 lb pork chirizo
1 bunch cilantro
2 cans whole tomatoes
1 box of Swanson's Beef Stock (don't get the broth it has a bunch of stuff you don't want in it)
2-3 whole Jalepenos cut up ( we leave the membrane and seeds intact and also quarter them)
1 t garlic powder
1/4 cup chili powder
3-5 bay leaves
2-3 cinnamon sticks

Brown the ground beef, chirizo, and onions together in a giant stock pot then add everything else except the steak.  Set stove to low. Let simmer for 3-3.5 hours.  Put in the steak.  Let simmer for 1-2 hours more.  Remove bay leaves and cinnamon sticks.  It makes a lot.  If you don't want to eat it every night for a week then you could put it into different containers and freeze.

Serve with a side of veggies.
